[header] How to cope with the death of a cousin [title] Embrace your feelings. [step] Grieve. Many people wrongly assume that ignoring their feelings or " toughing it out " will help the pain go away more quickly.

endings

  1. This is a common myth associated with grief. Do not be afraid to cry or scream or whatever you think helps you react to the loss.
  2. It is not! Feeling sad, sad, thankful, or upset all relate to past pain. Embrace your emotions and let them manifest in their own way.
  3. Forgiving someone takes a lot of work and effort. You may believe that surviving the death will protect you at least temporarily, but in reality, you are only letting it get you down.
  4. But, remember that this is only an illusion and trying not to let your own grief destroy you will only make the process of going through this difficult time more painful. [substeps] Try to sort out your feelings and deal with them instead of trying to break the news first.
