[header] How to deal with annoying kids [title] Wait for the child's parents to speak up. [step] Parenting is a very personal thing so avoid disciplining someone else's child without the permission of his parents. Your actions may seem inappropriate if you don't have similar parenting techniques.

endings

  1. Try to be patient with the parents, give them a chance to get over it and come to an agreement on what's best for everyone, without your supervision. [substeps] If you notice frustrated behavior, walk away for a bit so the parents can calm down and gain a few minutes to talk and talk again after they have calmed down.
  2. It may take a while for your parents to speak up. Taking the time to demonstrate their parenting skills may save your child from being dragged into a parents' argument.
  3. For example, some parents may not yell or scold their children publicly. [substeps] Discipline is not your job and neither is seeing if the child's parents discipline their child.
  4. [substeps] Write down your thoughts about what you're going to say and what you'll say when it's their turn to speak. Remember that it's okay to make your own decisions on how to react and to model good behavior by interacting calmly.
